my-achilles—heel:

Idk about everyone else but whenever Taylor announces when her next album is coming out and releases her first single and does interviews and stuff it always feels like it’s too good to be true that another album era is upon us since we wait for a good while in between albums and I always feel like I’m going to wake up and this is all a dream but then I realize that IT’S SO CLOSE I CAN TASTE IT AND I BECOME OVERWHELMED WITH EXCITEMENT AND LOVE FOR TAYLOR

"I never want to end up self-centred. You have to have this equal amount of self-loathing and self-love."

gettingsweptaway:

a year ago i wouldnt have even imagined taylor even replying to a fan on twitter let alone joining tumblr and interacting with us on here like it just amazes me how she’s already so worldwide and has millions of people who adore her but she’s STILL going the extra mile to have that real friendship with the fans. she’s trying to get into all of her fandoms on different social media platforms and knows how happy she is making us I JUST LOVE YOU taylorswift

The other big change on 1989 is that for the first time in years, there are no diss tracks dishing about Swift’s exes. A few of the songs are about her relationships and love life, but they’re mostly wistful and nostalgic, not finger-pointy or score-settling. “Different phases of your life have different levels of deep, traumatizing heartbreak,” Swift says. “And in this period of my life, my heart was not irreparably broken. So it’s not as boy-centric of an album, because my life hasn’t been boycentric.
